This mod is to bypass the internal amp of the system because the internal amp creates buzzing noises that are very noticeable.Д«ass boost: Two capacitors were replaced inside to significantly improve the lowest end of frequencies. The best IPS display currently available for the DMG. This results in a crystal clear sound when using earphones or an external sound system. Internal pro-sound: The earphone jack is re-wired to receive signals directly from the volume wheel, 'post-pot', meaning the sound is taken after it travels through the potentiometer so volume adjustment still has an effect on the earphones. It can still can be heard, but it's a vast improvement, particularly at typical usage distance. Speaker noise reduction: A capacitor has been installed, reducing the typical buzzing noise a Game Boy normally has when the volume is low/off. The protective layer was removed only for pictures, otherwise the glass has protection while it waits for a new owner. The best IPS display currently available for the DMG. Contrast wheel is replaced by a new wheel which scrolls to control the brightness, quick-pressed to toggle between the 8 palettes (all of which can be edited and saved), and held in to access/navigate/exit the on-screen display. All 4 shades of the DMG palette can be fully customised to create whatever palette colour scheme you want, which will explain how I inverted the Nintendo screen/logo. Ability to move the display horizontally and vertically for perfect centering (The screen is centered upon installation). Toggle-able non-intrusive battery indicator. Optional retro pixel effect which adds an overlay to simulate the gaps between the pixels of the original display. 11% larger than the original DMG dot-matrix display.
